Building the Dream

Like many of us, my love for LEGO® began when I was a child. I can remember how excited I was when I would get the castle and pirate sets for my birthday and Christmas. LEGO has always been something that I enjoyed buying and building for myself, even when I became an adult. When I met my wife, June, she was also into LEGO, and we quickly began collecting all the larger Creator Modules, IDEAS sets, and the list goes on. Many nights we would spend building together and just couldn’t seem to get enough sets to build and display.  

With the support of June, I began buying and selling LEGO products and would do this from our home. I also opened up a BrickLink store which became a full-time job for me. With the success of my business, we finally decided that it was time to open up a store front. When we moved and settled in Grimsby Ontario, we thought that this was the perfect place to bring such a unique store to. We then set our goal and began the process of opening our store.  

We love LEGO, we love our community, and we especially love our customers. The Brick Shack is a store that not only sells LEGO, but allows the “child” in all of us to come out when we walk into the store. We all get to share the passion we have by showing our current builds, talking about our favourite sets, and learning about each person's collections and the story behind them. We are so happy to be doing what we love, and hope we also inspire others to share their creativity with LEGO!
